C.A.R.E.’s Top 10 Tips for Parents

Parents: you are the primary educators of your child. C.A.R.E. is proud and privileged that you have chosen us to help in this process, and we take this responsibility very seriously.

When parents and instructors work together, great things can be achieved! Parents often ask us:

“How can I help my son/daughter and support the work that C.A.R.E. is doing with them?”

Well here are our Top 10 tips!

1.        Make sure that your child has a good night’s sleep on school nights.

2.        See that your child has a good nutritious breakfast before coming to school.

3.        Make sure that your child is in school every day.

4.        Check that your child is leaving the house in enough time to be on time for school.

5.        Make sure that your child is wearing the correct uniform.

6.        Send lunch with your child or make sure they have money to buy lunch in school.

7.        Talk to your child when they come home from school to see how the day went.

8.        Check that your child is completing their homework, and help them with it if they need help.

9.    Talk to your child’s instructor and coordinator regularly to see how they are doing.

10.    Be positive about your child’s future, and give them the love and support that they need to achieve!

We, at C.A.R.E., hope that you find these tips helpful. We look forward to working with you in the best interests of your child: Parents and Instructors are on the same team, and together we can help to put these young people on the right track for the rest of their lives!
